Brady Aiken Scouting Report:
Aiken was selected #1 overall last season by the Astros and eventually would not sign as the Stros’ became concerned with his elbow that they cut his signing bonus offer down to $5 million. At that point Aiken became one of just three first overall picks not to sign (Danny Goodwin (1971) and Tim Belcher (1983). Coming in to last seasons draft Aiken was the most highest rated high school pitcher available. He announced in late February of 2015 that he will be heading to IMG Academy’s post-graduate team By joining IMG Academy not UCLA, he becomes eligible for 2015 Draft. His fastball sits at 93-95 range and he posses the best changeup in the draft. Aiken went throw Tommy John surgery in late March 2015 and still should be drafted during the 2015 draft. The injury should adjust his draft position. More than likely he will fall from a top five selection to a top 10 selection. Aiken was drafted 17th overall in the 2015 draft by the Cleveland Indians. He signed his pro contract on June 22. His signing bonus was  $2.53 million dollars, just slightly under the slot value.
